Bring Google to the Light

Help kick start our campaign!

We need volunteers to take up the cause and tell Google what we think about their policy framework on net neutrality. Google has done a complete 180 on it’s previous stance as the net neutrality champion. They are further insulting netizens by feeding us this dog food and telling us it’s for our own good. We don’t have to take this. While Google has made itself pervasive in our lives, we still have an opportunity to change that. We need a critical mass of people to unite under this cause and save the future of the internet.

Campaign Goals

• Formulate and implement strategies to dramatically reduce or eliminate usage of pervasive google services with the purpose of harming their revenue sources.
• Educate people on why net neutrality is one of the most important issues of our generation and how google has backpedaled on it’s stance to support it.
• Create and/or promote viable alternatives to google services
• Influence our legislators to educate themselves on this issue and to vote in accordance with our interests (not those of greedy corporations)

We need volunteers and support to make this happen. Stay informed with our facebook page and help spread ideas and information to support the cause.

How can you immediately help?

Our first goal is to encourage everyone to install adblocker plugins in their web browsers to block google ads. Ads are Google’s primary source of revenue so if enough people block the ads, they will notice. Also boycott google applications and web services. This includes gmail, google search, chrome, etc. It may not be possible to eliminate usage completely, but with the introduction of alternatives, we can encourage people to phase out google’s services.
